This state emergency declaration includes updates on rents and mortgage payments for those whose income has been affected by the COVID outbreak; it stops evictions and foreclosures; includes a thorough application process and ramifications for fraud.

MBTA Transportation Updates
The MBTA will continue to disinfect surfaces and vehicles in line with its new cleaning protocol, but the Administration encourages older adults and those with underlying health issues to avoid large crowds. Passengers should board all buses and trolleys from rear doors to keep distance between drivers and passengers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

- Starting March 27th all travelers arriving in Massachusetts being instructed to self-quarantine for 14 days
- Safer at home; physical distancing of 6’ and wearing masks are stressed
- Bars and restaurants can offer take-out and delivery; some will offer outdoor dining upon state certification

The first segment of Belmont Town Meeting was originally scheduled for May 3, 6, 11, and 13 with a second segment on May 27, June 1, 3 and 8. The first segment has been cancelled. The first scheduled date for Annual Town Meeting is June 16 with the League of Women Voters briefing June 10.
